What is Suberi?
Suberi is a new sliding puzzle game with familiar mechanics. Suberi means something like "sliding" or "slipping" in Japanese.
- The game is played on a rectangular 2D grid of any size. Even small 3x3 puzzles can be challenging.
- Walls may exist between any two adjacent grid cells.
- There are one or more pieces on the board.
- Pieces can move up, down, left, or right.
- Pieces must continue moving (sliding) in the chosen direction until they hit an obstacle: either a wall or another piece.
- Pieces may not leave the playing field (e.g. if there is no wall to stop its move)
- There are one or more target squares on the board.
- The puzzle is solved when all target squares are covered by the correct piece.
This set of rules makes Suberi a superset of the 15 Puzzle, Lunar Landing, and Ricochet Robots.
